Gulf Savannah Tour....one of the best I have experienced. I have many years experience in conference organizing both in Australia and Overseas. As part of these events I have organized many district tours. I have traveled extensively within Australia and overseas. The recent trip with Outback Aussie Tours was one of the most informative, enjoyable and entertaining tours that I have ever experienced. All meals are included, including some very interesting morning and afternoon tea locations. Great staff and always very helpful. If you want to really see the Australian Outback these are the people who can take you there, in comfort.Barry O'Connor, Benalla
Everything was fantastic! We actually did Journey of the Gulf Savannah 9 day tour. Fantastic. I highly recommend Outback Aussie Tours. They are top class and have top class hosts on the trip. Thank you Sarah & Reece your were amazing! We will be traveling with them again.Sheila M, Gold Coast
Thompson River Cruise & Smithy's Outback Dinner & Show - Just part of the Aussie Outback Tour experience We did the cruise as part of our Aussie Outback Tours "Journey of the Gulf Savannah". Unfortunately there is no provision to review the whole trip so just take this advice - "if you can possibly take the Journey of the Gulf Savannah, make sure that you do it". It is just the best trip of this area of Australia and Aussie Outback Tours (headquartered in Longreach) are the masters - as were our hosts Brett & Kathy. The Thompson River Cruise and Smithy's Outback Dinner and show was just great (we almost missed out due to the preceding unseasonal rain making access difficult). How lucky were we that we were able to go. Delightful relaxing cruise, nibbles and drinks set the scene for a wonderful serene sunset. Then back to the river bank to Smithy's Outback Dinner & Show. Great food and almost non-stop entertainment from the talented and hard working Owen Blundell. It's in the book as a life highlight.Norm D, Melbourne
Journey of the Gulf Savannah - This was a fantastic 17 day experience! We had great guides who were very friendly and experienced. We went of the beaten track to visit places you might not get to see if travelling on your own. We had a good group in a well equipped 4wd bus. The accommodation was great for the remote locations we visited. Even the weather was extraordinary with the west as green as you will ever see.Allan C, Brisbane
Have just completed a 17 day tour to the Gulf with Kathy & Brett as our tour guides. What a couple they turned out to be! Exceptional guides, caring, fun and just a wealth of knowledge between the two of them. Hope they get time to write a book one day with all their amazing adventures – some of which they shared with us along the way. They knew the name of every blade of grass, trees, birds, snakes (ugh) and even windmills, and much, much more. Thanks Kathy and Brett, you are two in a million! Thanks also to the Smithy family for their hospitality while we were in Longreach. You deserve to succeed in business. I would certainly recommend Outback Aussie Tours and would travel with them again. Thanks to all our fellow travellers as well – you were a great bunch.Jan
Journey of the Gulf Savannah - 13 days in the west of Queensland plus the Gulf & Cairns. All of those who reside in "the city" should take a tour like this. This is the "bush"...from the enormous cattle stations to magnificent gorges, river cruises, vintage train trips, crocodile watch, helicopter trips, variable countryside, live shows & presentations & superb hospitality from motel staff to the station staff. Truly outstanding were Longreach's Stockman's Hall of Fame; QANTAS museum; Drover's Sunset Cruise / Longreach; Blue Heeler pub; Walkabout Creek pub; Albion pub (Normanton); Karumba (great little town / sunset dinner cruise); Gulflander train; Cobbold Gorge (magnificent); Savannahlander train; Undara Lava Tubes. A great tripIan D, NSW
